ISLAMABAD: A woman student who was gang-raped approached the Supreme Court (SC) on Friday to seek justice.
According to reports, the intermediate student, who is a resident of Muzaffargarh, has filed a petition in the apex court through his counsel Zulifqar Ahmed Bhutta. The petitioner has told the court that Khalid Shahzad Gujjar, a resident of Muzaffargarh, had advertised a vacancy in his private security firm. She applied for the post and was selected. While working at the firm, one day the accused and CEO of the firm, Khalid Shahzad Gujjar, took her to see a woman to get fieldwork training in a vacant house nearby.
The petition states that the accused forcefully raped the girl and made videos, still pictures and threatened to upload the videos on the Internet if she informed anyone about the incident. The petitioner adds that the accused along with his colleagues had been raping her for eight months. Talking to media after submitting the petition in the court, the student said the main accused, Khalid Gujjar, and his colleagues have not been arrested by the City Police Station of Muzaffargarh so far.
Although the local police have registered a case against them but it has not made any arrest so far, as the accused is very influential and is a close relative of the local parliamentarian.
Therefore, the local police did not take any action against them. She appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to take action against the accused.
